Blakenham, Suffolk: Lease of manor

Lease, by the Provost and College to Robert Snellinge, merchant, of the manor of Blakenham on the water with all lands pertaining in Blakenham, Baylham and Claydon and elsewhere, co. Suffolk, with all rents, reversions, fishings, fowlings, hawkings and huntings belonging thereto, and a wood called Blakenham Hawle wood containing ten acres, the advowson of the benefice and the keeping of courts and profits therefrom being reserved to the lessors. Reservation to the lessor also include soil herbage and wood of the two parcels of ground lately wood ground and called Highfield Wood and Kinges Mere Hill Wood. From Michaelmas last for 21 years. Rent £13 13s 4d and 2 quarters 4 bushels of wheat and 24 quarters of malt and one boar. Witnesses: Thomas Hoddison, Benjamin Owtred, public notary.
