Blakenham, Suffolk: Indenture of mortgage of manor

Indenture of mortgage, by the Provost and College, under the powers of the Universities and Colleges Estates Act 1858, and the Universities and Colleges Estates Act Extension 1860, to the bishops of London and Winchester, the archbishop of Dublin and the archdeacon of Maidstone, of the manor of Blakenham for £1998. The College to pay from the rents and profits of the premises at the rate of £4 10s per cent per annum until the said principal sum of £1998 shall be discharged.
The College Seal, papered, on doubled tag.
Endorsed that £1998 has been received by George John Dupuis, Bursar, and Frederick Charsley, registrar.
Further endorsed 4 August 1898, by W.A. Neale, accountant of the Clergy Mutual Assurance Society, that the said sum, received in instalments, has been totally discharged.
