Item
2 March 1771
Isaac Paske, Needham Market, to Stephen Hawtrey, esquire, the Temple, steward of the manors of Chattisham, Creeting St Mary and Blakenham, accepting an offer to be deputy steward and asking that the deputation be sent and Mrs Highmoor be ordered to deliver the Court Rolls. He explains how he had supposed that the stewardship had become vacant on Mr Highmore's death and had applied to the late marquis of Granby to procure it for him from Dr Barnard.
