Indenture of lease, 4 August 1647, by the Provost and College, upon surrender of a lease to Thomas Wright and Joan, his wife, to Richard Wright, of Eton, joiner, of a messuage or tenement with a barn, backside and garden adjoining wherein Robert Fountaine now dwells, with all other appurtenances, in Eton, between a tenement late of Peter Windsor, esquire, deceased, on the south and a tenement of the College on the north and the King’s highway on the west. From St John the Baptist’s day last for 21 years. Rent 20s and two fat capons or 4s at Christmas.
