Indenture of lease, 18 August 1559, by the Provost and College to Richard Hyll, of Eton, fisherman, of two messuages or tenements with two gardens and two backsides belonging, together with all cellars, sollers, stables, kitchens and other appurtenances, in Eton, between the tenement of Mr Edmonde Windesor, esquire, wherein William Rutter, weaver, now dwells on the south and a tenement of Robert Stookes wherein Robert Caise dwells on the north and the King’s highway on the west; the two messuages having lately been in the several tenure or occupation of the said Richard Hill and of William Beryngton, tailor. From Michaelmas next for 30 years. Rent 23s 4d. Mark of lessee.
