Indenture of lease, 6 January 1568 - 1569, by the Provost and College to Lawrence Newton, of Lewes, co. Sussex, tailor, of a messuage or tenement with a garden adjoining and stables, cellars, sollers and other appurtenances, in Eton, late in the tenure of Nicholas Hyde. From Michaelmas 1571, or whenever a lease to the said Hyde, dated 20 September 1551, shall expire, for 50 years. Rent 26s 8d.
