Eton, Buckinghamshire: Indenture of lease

Indenture of lease, by the Provost and College, upon the surrender of a lease to Gregory Baker, deceased, to George Tayler, of the Castle of New Windsor, gentleman, of a tenement or messuage with backsides and gardens belonging with a cart way leading from the Common lane into the backside of the same, in the tenure of the said Baker and now in the occupation of Henry Sayer, gentleman, now bounded and parted with a brick wall from a little backside and a little garden in the tenure of Bridgett Charman, widow, on the east, the Common Lane on the north, the passage to the backside of the Christopher on the west and the barn of the Christopher on the south, together with all cellars, sollers, stables etc appurtaining, between the Cock wherein widow Charman dwells on the north and the Christopher wherein Richard Coxe dwells on the south, also all the wainscot, glass and other implements comprised in an indented schedule annexed, the said messuage being now in the occupation of William Norice, gentleman, now bounded (as before), also all the wainscot, glass and other implements comprised in an indented schedule annexed. From Michaelmas last for 21 years. Rent 40s and two fat capons on the feast of St Thomas.
