Bond, by John Southwell, esquire, and Roger Amys, of Colne Wake, co. Essex, esquire, to the Provost and College of Eton, in £40 for the felling and carrying away of the wood, underwoods and trees of Cretyng Hall wood in Cretyng St Mary before Michaelmas 1557, and leaving the said wood sufficiently fenced and enclosed and sufficiently stored with storers and staddels according to the statutes for the preservation of woods. Edmond Hargat, bursar, had bargained and sold to them the said woods, underwoods and trees.
