Property in Buckinghamshire: Deposition
Item
16th century
Deposition of John Norys, of the parish of Dorney, of the age of 76 years, as to the title of Agnes, late the wife of John Mason, to a myse called Pulneys with certain lands pertaining in Dorney, that one William Smyth alias Goldwyn, of Dorney, had a daughter, Clemence, who was married to John Pulney, of Dorney, who was the owner of the premises. At the time of the marriage John Pulney gave Clemence the premises for her life, and she occupied them peaceably after his death. She then married one John Frymley, of Eton, who gave her all his tenements in Eton for her life, and she enjoyed them peaceably after his death.
John Carter of the age of 73 years agrees with all that John Norys has said. They both say that after the death of Clemence, John Pulney, her son, was her heir, that he died without issue and the premises descended to Agnes, his sister and heir, who was the wife of John Mason.
Witnesses: Richard Kyng, John Felder, John Carter the younger.
