Grant by Henry Clerk, of Chalveye, and Maud, his wife, to Robert atte Welle and Joan, his wife, of Chalveye, of a tenement with a garden adjacent, sometime of Alexander le Mulleward, lying in Chalveye between the tenement of Walter atte Naldret on the south and the cottage, sometime of Roger Flodgate, on the north, and the land of Richard Pomfreyt on the west and the common pasture of Chalveye on the east.
Witnesses: John Knyf, William Thurstan, Walter atte Naldret, Thomas Gylon, Henry Colyn.
Chalveye, Sunday in the middle of Lent.
Two seals, round, red wax, on doubled tag.
(1) 19mm, slightly chipped at top left edge. The Agony in the Garden. On the right the kneeling figure of Christ, the hands raised in prayer, on the left a chalice with ? the face of God the Father above it and two of three starts.
(2) 23mm, a good deal chipped away on right side. A device, perhaps some implement.
