Six deeds copied on one membrane endorsed Copies of Charters for certian lands and tenements in Wyknefelde for Thomas Smyth of Glastonbury. The date probably not much later than that of the latest deed, viz 1374.
Grant by Thomas Hugh of Mayford to William, his eldest son, of a croft lying next a path called Newelane on the west and the land of Richard Smyth on the east. To the said William and Alice, daughter of Robert Elys, of Cranwestokes, whom he is to marry, and their heirs legitimately procreated, with remainder to the grantor and his heirs.
Witnesses: Robert at Blakefaus, Robert Elys, Robert Urri, Roger Thressher, William Dogeth.
