Penn, Buckinghamshire: Grant of messuage, land and tenements

Grant by John Morewyn, of Wycombe, co. Bucks, to John Rane, of Penne, William Herne, of the same, and Thomas Morewyn, the grantor's son, of all his messuage, lands and tenements in Penne called Sawendris, Brydell and Lots, lying together between the King's way or path leading towards Marlowe on the east and the land of William Schrymton on the west in breadth, and in length extending from the King's way and common pasture there towards the north unto the land of the lord of St John of Jerusalem towards the south. The messuage with a small piece of meadow abuts on the said path and with the appurtenances called Sawendris was lately bought by the grantor from William Sawendre. The lands and tenements called Brydell and Lots, he lately had of the gift of Henry Puttenham, esquire, and afterwards by release and warranty of William Austeyn alias Austyn, late of Penne.
