Counterpart of lease, by the Provost and College to Bartholomew Wriglesworth, of Syppenham in Burnham, of a mansion house or tenement, with all barns, stables, kitchens and other backrooms, gardens and yards belonging, in Syppenham, late in the tenure of Richard Lewen, of London, gentleman, deceased, together with 3 acres of arable in a field called Boores Lande abutting on the land of Edward, Lord Hastinges, now in the tenure of Thomas Mountague, towards the east and a brook called Aye Mylle brook towards the west; also half an acre of arable in the common fields of Sipenham between two pieces of land of the said lord Hastinges now in the several tenures of the said Thomas Mountague on the south and Richard Robartes on the north, abutting on another piece of ground of lord Hastinges called the Buttes on the east; also 2 closes of meadow or pasture containing 4 acres abutting on Sippenham park on the south and the lands of John Martyn on the north; also a little pittle of ground containing 1 rood next the aforesaid closes, with a little tenement belonging to the same wherein mother Webbe now lives. From Michaelmas last for 20 years. Rent 13s 4d.
If the lessors shall think it expedient either in time of sickness or upon any other urgent cause to have the use of the said houses garden plot and water, either for the scholars or otherwise, then the lessees, upon four days warning shall vacate the premises, for not longer than one quarter of a year within any one year without recompense.
