Royal Patents: Grant of priory of Begare

Grant in frankalmoign to William Westbury, Provost, and the College of Eton of the alien priory of Beggere alias Beger [Begare], co. York, £8 a year which the prior of Farlegh alias Farley used to pay the nuns of Mortiginatum alias Mortiganiatum [Marcigny] for the farm and pension of the manors of Welby [alias] Welleby and Nalbenby [Navenby], co. Lincoln, and Slaighteneford [Slaughterford] and Alynton [Allington], co. Wilts, and which John Tommeson, deceased, lately had for life of the King's grant and the reversion of £30 a year from the same farm and pension (above the said £8), which the prior also used to pay to the nuns and which Roger Grandorch, gentleman, has for life of the King's grant. Given at Westminster, by Privy Seal.
