Exemplification, at the request of John Scotte, of the record of a plea in the Common Pleas, the said John Scotte versus Thomas Loveden and Alice, his wife, and John Grove concerning a messuage, a toft, 9.5 acres of arable and 3.5 acres of meadow in Eton, upon a writ of "ingressu super disseisinam in le post", before Thomas Bryan and his fellow Justices in Trinity term 14 Edward IV [1474]. The defendants have not entry to the premises except after the disseisin which William Compton unjustly and without judgement made upon the plaintiff. The defendants call Denis Guyer to warranty, who makes default. The seisin is awarded to the plaintiff. Testa Bryan (chief justice of the common pleas). Given at Westminster.
