Royal Patents: Licence to acquire lands

Licence for the Provost and College to acquire in mortmain the following lands and rents from the following persons, in pursuance of their licence by letters patent of 23 March 16 Henry VII [1501] to acquire lands and rents
to the yearly value of £27, viz:
From William Ketyll and John Mason, a messuage, 37 acres of arable and 5 acres of meadow in Dachet [Datchet] and Eton
From Richard Payne, clerk, Edmund Mundevlle, clerk, Richard Kyte, clerk, Richard Blount, gentleman, John Burton and Thomas Huntte a garden, 40 acres of meadow, 20 acres of pasture, and 9s rent in Eton, held of the King and another and extended at £4 6d a year according to an inquisition taken before Richard Blount, esquire, sheriff of Buckingham.
From the said last-named parties 6 messuages, 60 acres of arable, 40 acres of meadow, 20 acres of pasture, 5 acres of wood and 6d rent in New Windsor, co. Berks. From the said William Ketyll and John Mason, a messuage, 140 acres of arable, 20 acres of meadow, 15 acres of wood and 9 cartloads of wood yearly in "le comyn de Byggefrithe" in Cokeham [Cookham], co. Berks. From William Lynde and John Mason 46 acres of arable, 2 acres of pasture and a rent of 21s yearly in Cokeham and Maydenhithe [Maidenhead] in the parish of Cokeham, and a messuage, 22 acres of arable, 2 acres of pasture, 2 acres of wood and 6 cartloads of wood yearly in "le comyn wood" of Cokeham in Bray in the parish of Bray, held of the King and others and extended at £14 19s a year according to an inquisition taken before John Williams, Knight, Sheriff of Berkshire.
The premises are extended at £19 0s 4d. To hold to the value of £20 yearly in part satisfaction of the said £27. Given at Westminster
