Licence for the College to acquire property to the value of £27 a year, notwithstanding the statute of mortmain. Given at Westminster.
Endorsed: Memorandum that on 25 November 1504, the College, by virtue of this licence, bought from William Ketyll, John Mason, Richard Payne, clerk, Edmund Mundevile, clerk, Richard Kyte, clerk, Richard Blount, gentleman, John Berton, Thomas Huntte and William Lynde a messuage, 37 acres of arable, 5 acres of meadow in Dachet [Datchet] and Eton and other lands and tenements, to the value of £20 in partial satisfaction of the £27 mentioned herein.
