Royal Patents: Indenture of sale of land in London

Indenture of sale by the Provost and College, for £40 6s paid by the Treasurer of the Court of Augmentations and £11 14s paid by the tenants, to the King of 6 acres of meadow lying near Chalcotthyll in the parish of St Pancras and Marybone [Marylebone], co. Middx, enclosed within his grace's park of Marybone and now or late in the tenure of John Slannyng; and 14 acres of wood enclosed in the same park in the tenure of the same and all other their lands enclosed in the said park, and a rent of 24s from the said 6 acres, parcel of a yearly rent of £20, and a rent of 28s from the said 14 acres, parcel of a rent of £6 13s 4d, which rents of £20 and £6 13s 4d are reserved to the College upon several leases made by them to William Kempe, deceased, and the said John Slannyng, now living. All deeds, evidences and writings relating to the premises to be delivered to the Keeper of the King's evidence in the Court of Augmentatlons to choose of the same before the feast of St John the Baptist next. The yearly value of the premises at the time of their enclosure was 52s, beside the woods and underwoods. Witnesses: T.
