Grant by Edward IV of the Priory of Shirborne alias Westshirborne Monachorum, co. Southampton [Monk Sherborne, Hampshire]; plot of land in Eton, formerly the property of Oliver de Burdeux with a capital messuage, containing one acre and three roods, worth 2s 11d p.a.; a cottage formerly Walter Clare's worth 2s p.a.; 10 acres of land within the precincts of the College worth 15s p.a.; alien priory of Endeston, Somerset; a messuage, a carucate, 26 acres of land, 7 acres of wood and 8 marks rent in Endeston, with the reversion of the hospital of St John, Dorchester, Dorset, commonly called St John's House, next time it falls into the King's hands. The messuage, lands, wood and rent in Endeston are given to the College from Michaelmas 1467. The grant is made for his sincere devotion to the Blessed Virgin and so that the members of the College shall pray for him and his consort Elizabeth while they live and for their souls when dead, and for the souls of his father Richard Duke of York, Richard Earl of Cambridge and Anne his wife and all his ancestors. Given at Westminster, by the Privy Seal with the authority of Parliament.
