Royal Patents: Grant of nomination of scholars to King's Hall

Grant to the Provost and College of Eton and to the Provost and Scholars of the College of St Mary and St Nicholas of Cambridge [King's College], of the nomination of scholars in King's Hall; founded by Edward III for a warden and 32 scholars in the University of Cambridge, the nomination to be exercised by the Provosts alternately, such scholars to be at least 14 years of age as certified by the provost and competently instructed in the rudiments of grammar by report of the provost, and without further examination. Given at Westminster by the King.
