Duplicate of the below, except for trifling differences in the wording and the inclusion in this charter under the quitclaim of the arrears in the rent of 46s 8d, and of 18 marks, which she had recovered from the said Robert, being adjudged to her for her losses in respect of her said dower.
Cokham.
Seal, natural coloured wax, on doubled tag, a device, a legend. The device consists of a straight line.
Quitclaim by Margaret, formerly wife of Nicholas de Wodemancote, for a certain sum of money, to Robert de Wodemancote, son and heir of the said Nicholas, of all her right in lands etc, which were assigned to her by the said Robert as dower by the gift of the said Nicholas, formerly her husband, in Cokham, Benetfeld and Garyngges, together with a rent of 46s 8d, which the said Robert and his heirs were bound to pay to her for the term of her life for the lands etc. aforesaid.
Witnesses: William de Bourghtone, vicar of the church of Cokham, Henry de Pynkey, William de Elynstone, Alexander de Babeham, John Dismars, William de Babeham, Robert de Shorteforde.
