Indenture of lease by Joan Serle, of Maydenythe, in her lawful widowhood, to William Hacker, of the same, of a parcel of the land, which the said Joan holds for life by grant of the said William, containing in length from the gate of the said Joan through the wall nearly to the barn, in Braye, with free ingress and egress with a carriage and other animals through the gate of the said Joan. Rent 8d silver (or the said William will reckon the said 8d as the residue of rent, which she pays to the said William for the said parcel and other parcels, which she holds of him). Furthermore the said William to be bound to make a close with a gate upon his own land, wherever he can have the more convenient ingress, and not to make a close upon the parcel of land which he holds of her, so that the said Joan can have her easement in the parcel of the said land.
