Goldcliff and Coldrey, Monmouthshire: Indenture tripartite

Indenture tripartite, between the Provost and College of Eton of the first part, Sir John Parsons and Richard Francklyn, gentleman, of the second part, and Sir John Trevor, of the third part. Trevor had leased the manor of Goldcliff on 20 May to Parsons and Francklyn upon trust that they would re-demise the same to Trevor to the intent that thereby all the sums of money reserved to be paid for the rent of the premises be secured to be paid at such times and in such sort as the same are hereby reserved to be paid to Parsons and Francklyn, nevertheless in trust for the use of the Provost and College. Now Parsons and Francklyn lease the premises to Trevor for 11 years 51 weeks and 4 days. Rent for the first five years £200, for the sixth year £94 and thereafter a peppercorn.
