At a court on 12 May 1476 before Thomas Cairlion, deputy of lord William, earl of Pembroke, steward, John ap David Madocke Haghe paid a fine of 14 1/2d for confirmation of his estate in a messuage and 13 1/2 acres which he held within the fee of Coldrey for a term of 99 years.
Note that the document was seen on 23 July 1524.
Endorsement, probably of the date of the note, that in a dispute between Roger Watty and Grysly Howell, wife of Thomas Watty, concerning a tenement in Christchurch next the road leading from the church to the vicarage, Master Sutton and Master Myn decreed that the younger son of Thomas Watty should have the tenement, and in default of issue of Thomas and Grysly, that Roger, elder son of Thomas, should have it; and that Roger shall have 33s:4d from Grisly for making this release to be paid in two portions viz. at Michaelmas [...] Henry VIII 13s:4d and at the following Michaelmas 20s.
