"Having been informed by Mr Groom that Lord Brownlow had communicated to you his ideas as to the proportions of land to be asked of the proprietors of Thurlby in lieu of tythes and Mr Groom having referred me to you; I beg leave to request you will have the goodness to inform me whether the College have come to any determination on the subject."
