Grant in frankalmoign by Henry, earl of Northumberland, Eleanor, his wife, and Henry and Thomas Percy, Knights, their sons, to the Provost and College of Eton of an acre of arable in Petteworth, parcel of the manor of Petteworth, viz. that acre lying next the cemetery of the parish church of the Blessed Mary of Petteworth, together with the advowson of the church. With warranty.
Witnesses: Reginald West, lord la Warre, Thomas Lewkenore, Roger Fenys and Henry Husy, Knights, Richard Dalyngrigge, Thomas Uvedale, William Sydenay, Edmund Mille, Nicholas Husy.
Four seals, round, red wax, on doubled tags. Armorial.
(1) Only a central fragment survives, the second quarter of the arms on a shield couche, the helmet and a part of the supporting lion on the right side.
(2) 55mm. A part of the top missing. A shield of arms couche, Percy impaling Neville (a saltire). A helmet and mantling, supporters a (?) lion and an ox, crest (?) a lion.
(3) 50mm. Parts missing at top and sides. A shield of arms, couche, Percy. A helmet and mantling, supporters a lion and unicorn, crest (?) a lion.
(4) Only a fragment of the top survives. A helmet, crest a lion.
