Notarial instrument witnessing that on 16 July 1478 Richard Goldsmyth and Isabel, his wife, sold their house without the southern gate of the city of Chichester to Master Thomas Barker and Ellen Salmon, of Chichester, widow, for £7. Isabel swore on the holy scriptures that she renounced all claim to the premises in the name of dowry.
Witnesses: Giles Radcliff and John Robert, literates, John Levesham, senior, and John Levesham, his elder son, John Corsyle and Robert Copden, laymen, of the dioceses of Coventry and Lichfield, Salisbury and Chichester.
Declaration and notarial mark of John Vyncent, clerk, of the diocese of Salisbury, public notary.
