Memorandum of surrender by Nathaniel Costard, of Hemelhempsted, co. Herts, grocer, eldest son and heir of John Costard, late of Hemelhempsted, tanner, deceased, by the hands of James Stevens and William Stevens, of a messuage, wherein John Gomm dwells, called Cross Lanes, and 4 closes adjoining and 1 acre in Winyard and 3 acres in North Meadow, to the use of Henry Costard, of Hemelhempsted, his brother. If the said Henry shall pay to John Costard, brother of the said Nathaniel and Henry, the sum of £40, and to his sister Sarah the sum of £10 one year after the decease of Rebeccah Deavon, of Watlington, co. Oxon [the terms of the condition are not completed].
