Memorandum of surrender by Thomas Keen, higler, for £55 paid by Stephen Keen, of 8 London Street, Bethnal Green, tallow melter, by the hands of John Newell and William Britnell, of a messuage formerly in the occupation of Benjamin Keen, deceased, and now of the said Thomas, at Bledlow Ridge, with a close of arable adjoining, and a plot of land containing 1 rood 27 perches bounded on the north by an allotment and an old enclosure lately belonging to Elizabeth Steevens and now to Lord Carrington, on the south east by an allotment of Thomas Spiers, on the south by an allotment of Elizabeth Jones and on the north west by old enclosures formerly belonging to Joseph Keen but now to the said Thomas, which said plot was allotted to Joseph Keen in lieu of his customary rights of common. Keen was admitted to the premises at a General Court Baron on 21 February 1825. To the use of the said Stephen.
