Memorandum of agreement between James Walton, labourer, of the first part, Cranley Benjamin Britnell, of Chinnor, baker, and Matilda, his wife, of the second part, and William Rawlins, of no. 8 Bucklersbury in the city of London, gent., of the third part, by which Walton gives the Britnells free possession of a messuage formerly in the occupation of Elizabeth Stevens, widow, together with a close of arablr adjoining containing 1 acre, also an allotment in West Field containing 28 perches bounded on the east by the Home Close, formerly of Joseph Gomme, and on the south by an allotment of John Campden Neild, and on the west and north by an allotment of Edward Sale, to which premises Walton was admitted at a Court on 25 May 1861. Walton to hold the legal estate in the premises in trust for the Britnells. Appointment by Walton of Rawlins as his attorney.
By a decree in Chancery of 22 November 1871 in Britnell v. Walton and others it was ordered that the said James Walton and Henry Walton should before 30 December 1871 pay Matilda Britnell £249:12s:6d with 4% interest from 1 June 1868, with the costs of the suit. Walton is unable to pay the sum.
