Content description
J J Harper, Bledlow Risboro', to Rev George Bethel, bursar, concerning the proposal made to the College by the lessees of taking the woods into their own management and renewing the lease of the land only. Advises employing a person immediately to report on the woods, as it will appear that "the injury done by mismanagement will subject them to a legal process & therefore they will be the more ready to come into almost any terms to avoid it. The Badcock family (to whom Mr Spiers is trustee) are now considering of the propriety of taking some steps to recover compensation for the injury done to the estate by bad management..."
