Content description
At a court on 16 May 1569 John Winter and Elizabeth, his wife, and Charity Seymour, her sister, heirs of Edmund Seymour, made complaint against John Aldridge in a plea of land and asked for process to be made according to the custom of the manor. Then they asked that their suit should be prosecuted in the form of the queen's writ of assise of mort d'ancestor at common law. Order to the bailiff to proceed. The lands consist of a messuage, 100 acres of arable, 40 acres of pasture and 10 acres of wood in Bledlowe, of which Thomas Seymour, grandfather of Elizabeth and Charity was seised.
