Inspeximus by John, bishop of Oxford, of depositions of witnesses ex parte Edmund Wild v. John Attwell in a cause of subtraction of tythes or other ecclesiastical rights taken on 14 June 1573, together with personal answers of John Attwell. The deponents were Henry Allaway, aged 80, of Mapledurham, Thomas Pethe, aged 63, of Rotherfeild Grays, Richard Allaway, aged 61, of Mapledurham, William Dry, aged 65, of the same, Thomas Allaway, aged 59, of the same, John Browne, aged 55, of the same. The suit related to the tythes of the vicarage of Mapledurham, of which Wild had been farmer for 7 or 8 years.
