Counterpart of lease, by William Day, clerk to Anthony Langstone, of Bissiter, co. Oxford, gentleman, of all tythes on all the orchards, gardens, and backsides belonging to the place house of the manor of Gurney in Mapledurham; and on lands called Coalles, Kennell, Brickly, Little Coppice, Drovers Deane, Westfeild, Westfeild Hill, Hardwickfeild and Millfeild, now in the tenure of Thomas Marttin; and on the whole park (30 acres of which is in the tenure of the said Langstone and the remainder of Anthony Libb, gentleman), except so much of the park as has been heretofore part of the demesnes of the manor of Chawsey; and on all the meadows and pastures which are part of the demesnes of the manor of Gurney, except so much as have been part of the demesnes of the manor of Chausey; and on the mill wharf waters eights belonging to the manor of Gurney; and on grounds now in the tenure of John Pearman and Henry Horne; and on the gardens, backsides and orchards of the house adjoining the park now in the tenure of Frances Whittell; and on the gardens and orchards belonging to the almshouses adjoining the parsonage house; and on all the demesnes of the manor of Chawsey courte and on the Over Parke Green lease, Nether Park Small Meade, Berry Croft, Broade Lease, Great White lands, Partrige Hill, Rotmore Shaw, Rotmore, Little white lands, Chawsey Wood, Rigefeild Coppice; and on all parts of the demesnes lying in any common feild or mead; and on the wand of meadow and on all those lands in the park in the tenure of Libb and in the court mead which were anciently of the manor of Chawsey. Excepting the tythes of lambs, wool, pigs and calves.
From Michaelmas last for one year. Rent £70.

Endorsed that this document was shown to deponents at the time of their examination, viz. to Dr Mathew Day on 28 October 1656 before Robert Nicholas; to the same in Chancery on behalf of William Day, defendant, at the suit of Walter Blount, esquire, complainant before T Peyton; to Thomas Martyn, gentleman, in the Exchequer in the cause between William Day, plaintiff and Walter Blunt, esquire, and others, defendants, before William Knollys, John Davis.
