William Day v. Sir Charles Blunt et al., for the recovery of the rights of the Church. 1639.
Memorandum, that Nicholas Iornmonger, of Mapledurham, on 11 December 1637, as William Day and George Blakwell, the elder, of Bray, were travelling to Reading from Mapledurham, overtook them on foot, they being on horseback, and among other discourse told them that for his meadow ground he paid 12d a year for tythes of hay for that which his father (lately departed) paid, but 9d for the tythe to the late vicar.
