William Day v. Sir Charles Blunt et al., for the recovery of the rights of the Church. 1639.
Testimony of Joan West, widow, of the age of 80, that the inhabitants of Mapledurham did at first pay but 4d for the tythe of that hay for which Mr Matthews had afterwards 6d, and this 2d did Mr Matthews raise throughout the whole parish.
