W Day, Mapledurham, to ...., in answer to a letter of 12 January in which the latter offers to pay 10s a year. "If Mr Matthews accepted of ten shillings a yeare, it is noe obligation to mee. He might doe with his owne that he pleased, he might lett that which you say he lett for ten shillings for tenn groates, yea for ten pence if hee wold".
