Content description
William Kingdom, 3 Charles St, St James' Square, to John Shaw, esquire, proposing to lease 8 or 10 acres of land at each end of the new road through the Chalcot Estate. "As I propose a style of building somewhat similar to the Terraces of the Regents Park or of the Oxford and Cambridge Terraces, there can be little doubt of the new road becoming a splendid addition to the projected improvements of the neighbourhood; and, with permission of the Provost and Fellows, I should propose to name it Eton Terrace.
