Content description
Release by William Okeden, of Ellingham, co. Hants, to Henry Savile, esquire, Provost, and the College of Eton of the priory or parsonage of Ellingham, with all its appurtenances, and all estate in the same by virtue of a lease of 10 December 1569 by William Day, Provost, to Philip Okeden, gentleman, now deceased.
Signature of Okeden.
Witnesses: James Worseley, John Asheley, - Knapton, Walter Ridoute, William [? Wolege].
Seal, round, 23mm, red wax, on doubled tag. Armorial, quarterly, one and four ? a chevron between 3?, two and three, 10 roundels, 4, 3, 2 and 1.
