Content description
Bond by James Worsley, of Elingham, co. Hants, gentleman, and Edmund Duffield, of London, gentleman, to Henry Savill, Provost, and the College of Eton in £100 for saving the College from all actions by virtue of a lease of the parsonage of Elingham to Philip Okeden, esquire, now deceased, of 10 December 1569, and procuring that William Okeden, of Elingham, esquire, before 27 April next shall seal and deliver to the Provost the counterpart of a lease of the said parsonage to the said William bearing the date of this bond, and likewise shall seal and deliver a bond in £50 for the performance of the covenants mentioned in the lease.
