Indenture of agreement between master William Westbury, Provost, and James Palden of Laghton, co. York, mason, by which the latter or his deputy shall carry by the sea and water unto Seynt Katerins Pole by the Towre of London all the stone for the building of the College that shall come unto the banks or wharves of Cawode and Weylond from the quarries of Stapulton and Hudleston. The College will carry thestone unto the said banks or wharves "no ferther that the planks lyth oute of the shyppis". He will receive at the delivery of the stone in London for every "tunne tyght" 3s 8d. The College "in as hasty time as they may" after being informed of the arrival of the ships shall see to their unlading. "The saide provost and College shall stonde to thaventur and bere the charge of all perells of the stone aforesaid, and the said Jamys and his depute and deputees of theyr shippes".
