Admission at a court of the manor of Crondall held on 30 September 1635, of Anne, daughter of Anne Terry, deceased, and wife of John Hockley, to a messuage, garden, orchard and ½ virgate of land in Yateley called Inshotts, and a cottage and garden, with a curtilage adjacent, containing 1½ acres of wood in Yateley. The homage present that Anne Terry died since the last court and Anne Hockley is the next heir. No heriot, because she held only for life. Fine 5s 8d.
Signed by Henry Foyle, deputy steward, and Robert Badger, clerk of the lands.
On the same membrane:
15 December 1637. At Hackewood the above copy was surrendered by John Hockley and Anne, his wife, with the intention that the estate should be regranted to the said John and Anne for their lives in survivorship with remainder to John Hockley, their son, and his heirs.
Heriot 10s. [in the margin is written, Admitted. Heriot best beast 40s]. Signed by Henry Foyle.
