Farnham. Dated by Copy of Court at the Turn of St Martin with the court of John Farwell, esquire, and James Gould, esquire, of their manor there held on 29 October 1651.
John Steel, cousin and next heir of John Steel, deceased, viz. the eldest son of Olive Steel, brother and heir of the said John Steel, deceased, pays a fine of 6s, for a messuage and 10 acres of purpresture land, 1 acre 2½ roods and 1 parcel of purpresture called Jacobbes (?) or Brownes in the tything of Frinsham, to have by the pledge of John Balder the elder.
And the said John pays a fine of 2s 6d (?) for 3 closes of purpesture land called Tescatts alias Keney containing 6 acres in the said tything, by the pledge of the same.
