Extracts from a court roll of Okley Rectory. (Henry VIII).
Margaret Faldo exhibited her copy to the court, by which John Wyon, clerk, surrendered into the King's hands a parcel of land lying in Okeley upon (document torn) called Fitz John's Stockyng, containing 14 acres lately in the tenure of Henry Pycards for the use of the said Margaret Faldo, widow, and Thomas, her son. Rent 2s. Fine for entry 2d. Fealty and admission.
Surrender by John Wyon, clerk, of a close with (?) virgates of land and an acre of meadow in Okeley called Bowlers late in the tenure of Simon Lorde for the use of Thomas Stokys, senior, and Margaret, his wife. Rent 12s. Fine 10d. Fealty and admission.
"Also ther ys ye parsonage howse with a kechen a dowffehowse a gret barrnne with dyvers other howses whych be very ruinss and in decaye and V acres of ground lying abowt the parsonage of Glybe lands in severalty."
