Thomas Eagle, to the Rev. Mr William Roberts, corrected to Mr Tew, Eton College, sending his valuation of the impropriate rectory of Oakley. "This lordship would be an inclosure upon proper terms, improve the estates of the Duke, also that of Eton College. I was informed by a servant (a farm bailiff resident at Oakley) of the Duke's that such a measure was now under consideration on the part of his Grace."
