Bromham, Bedfordshire: Agreement concerning the granting of land

Agreement between the Honourable George Rice Rice Trevor and the Rev. James Joseph Goodall, vicar of the parish of Bromham, by which Trevor grants to Goodall and his successors a piece of land containing 30 poles in consideration of which Goodall agrees that 1452 acres 3 roods 25 perches of land shall be absolutely discharged from the payment of the sum of 12s, part of sum of £196 19s 9d payable by Trevor according to an instrument apportioning rent charges under the Act for the commutation of tithes. The plot of land, consisting of the Little Plantation and a small piece of sward lately in the occupation of John Lavender, farmer, is shown in a drawing in the margin. Trevor holds it as tenant for life under the will of John Viscount Hampden, deceased. In the margin it is written that the Provost and College, patrons of the living of Bromham with Oakley annexed consent to this deed of exchange, 2nd May 1845.
