Complains about nearly missing the train from Paddington because the Holyhead train was late at Euston. They had eight people in their carriage, nearly all the way from Holyhead to Euston. Charles left at 9.00pm the previous night. Walker thinks that Paddy (horse) will not win a prize at the show. Walker can't take them to Ascot because the horses are too soft.
