Content description
Written on the 11th October. Sends thanks for the letter he recieved yesterday. Glad his Father thought that his letter to his mother was neat, as he believes it was scribbled in about 5 minutes on Monday morning. Is sure that all the presents his father suggests would be acceptable, however he would prefer a coat during the Christmas holidays; emphasises that it's a 'great' coat. Jokes about his letter being so neat, his Father should get it framed. Complains that 'the woman' is in an awful rage with him, with her (underscored) 'meddling as usual'. Hopes the puppies are well. One of the Grenfell's of Wilton Park is dead, he doesn't know which one, but she is the sister of the twins. Asks when his Father is intending to come over.
