Content description
Thanks his mother and father for their kind letters which he received. Thanks his father for getting the gaiters, which he is grateful. Mother previously gave him a table cover. Sydney (the eldest brother) gave him a jewel case. Edward is getting on well with his mandoline. Has begun his first tune, "God save the Queen". It is now getting cold and they have begun fires.
