Arrived safely. His new room is better than his last, as it has light and an even floor, though small. Intends to keep it tidy and asks his mother to buy a carpet for him. Asks if strawberries planted. Windsor Theatre is open every day and the terrace wall is pulled down. Problems with his watch. Fires will be allowed at Michaelmas day.
